HSEM 190: Emergency Management Special Topics

Special topics will be developed for areas outside the usual course offerings in Emergency Management. Topics developed will focus on a specific current issue or concept in the area of emergency management. This class may include students from multiple sections.

Prerequisites

2.0 or higher in EM 102 or EM 105 and EM 110 or EM 111 or instructor permission

  1. Research and communicate the issues related to the chosen course topic.
  2. Apply information to solve a given problem using the course topic.
  3. Compare and contrast the chosen topic with existing knowledge and experience in homeland security or emergency management.
  4. Evaluate the impact of the chosen topic as it relates to emergency management.
