Peninsula College currently offers three Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degrees: Management, Behavioral Healthcare, and Teacher Education. Each program builds on existing two-year degrees by adding upper-division coursework, resulting in practical, application-oriented four-year degrees designed to prepare graduates for in-demand careers and further education.
The BAS in Management degree prepares graduates for management positions and career advancement across a wide range of fields on the Olympic Peninsula and beyond. The program can be completed 100% online and offers several specializations.
The BAS in Behavioral Healthcare prepares graduates for careers supporting individuals and communities in need. Graduates may pursue roles such as case manager, care coordinator, probation officer, or correctional treatment specialist.
The BAS in Teacher Education prepares students to become elementary school teachers, with a strong focus on equity, community engagement, and meeting the needs of diverse learners. The program includes hands-on classroom experience and culminates in a supervised student teaching placement. Graduates are prepared to earn Washington State teacher certification and pursue careers in K–8 education, particularly in rural and underserved communities.
All BAS degrees at Peninsula College also provide a pathway to graduate study. Graduates of the Management program might pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) or related degrees. Behavioral Healthcare graduates may continue into master’s programs such as Addiction Counseling, Social Work, or Public Administration. Teacher Education graduates may pursue advanced degrees in education, such as a Master in Teaching (MIT), Educational Leadership, or specialized endorsement areas.
