Native plants of the Pacific Northwest serve as an excellent vehicle for exploring plant biology, plant ecology, and human uses of plants. This fieldoriented class will explore plant ecology in our many varied local habitats (forest, mountain, coast) and will culminate with a field day to Neah Bay and the Makah Cultural and Research Center where resident experts will share their knowledge of the intimate relationship between local plants and people.
