This course provides a pre-certification foundation in the Public Safety Telecommunicator profession. Students will learn the fundamentals of emergency call-taking, including triage and prioritization, effective communication strategies, and accurate data gathering in challenging or high-stress situations. The course also covers stress management techniques, essential terminology, and proper radio dispatch procedures for fire, emergency medical, and law enforcement field units. This class may include students from multiple sections.
