Series of programs from the Humanities, Social Sciences, Natural Sciences, Vocations, and Global Issues. This class may be repeated up to six times for a total of thirty credits. Unless granted instructor permission, students taking this class for five credits will earn a decimal grade. This class may include students from multiple sections. (Elective)

GS 185: Introduction to Leadership

Development of leadership skills and experiences through lecture, lab and group activities. Examines personal leadership styles, ethics, conflict resolution, communication and related topics. Course is limited to students serving on the Associated Student Council, or by permission of instructor. This class may include students from multiple sections. (Elective)

GS 186: Leadership Principles & Theory

Credits 2

Development of leadership skills and experiences through lecture, lab and group activities. Examines characteristics of strong leaders, leaders in history, leadership theory, leading by example, servant leadership and related topics. Course is limited to students serving on the Associated Student Council, or by permission of instructor. This class may include students from multiple sections. (Elective)

GS 187: Servant Leadership

Credits 2

Development of leadership skills and experiences through lecture, lab and group activities. Examines the theory of servant leadership, community service, careers for leaders, budget development and management, and related topics. Course is limited to students serving on the Associated Student Council, or by permission of instructor. This class may include students from multiple sections. (Elective)
