Teacher Candidates will explore what leadership is, how/why they are leaders, and various models of teacher leadership. Specific opportunities/responsibilities to lead as professionals (with peers, students, families, paraprofessionals) will be considered. This class may include students from multiple sections.

Course Outcomes
- Define Teacher Leadership and develop a plan for yourself as a leader, considering the multiple stakeholders with whom you interact.
- Demonstrate understanding of the Washington State code of professional conduct for education practitioners and how such standards can empower teachers as leaders.
- Demonstrate understanding of the paraeducator standards of practice and how knowledge of these standards better prepares teachers to lead in ways that best serve students.
