EDUC 460: Technology For Differentiation and Engagement

This course focuses on various educational technologies with a particular focus on students' physical and emotional safety. Integration of technology is framed as a way to differentiate, engage, and reach each and every student and their families. Through that lens, Teacher Candidates can deepen their abilities to provide access and equity. This class may include students from multiple sections.

Prerequisites

Teacher Education BAS Program Admittance

  1. Evaluate current educational technology standards to enhance student learning and engagement and develop critical thinking skills.
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of current educational technology standards to model and teach digital citizenship.
  3. Implement current educational technology standards to inform and differentiate instruction in meaningful ways.
  4. Integrate technology into existing lessons to differentiate and engage to better serve students.
  5. Design lessons in field experience that demonstrate the safe, legal, and responsible use of technology.
  6. Evaluate how technology can serve the goal of being a culturally and trauma informed and responsive teacher.
