An introduction to the application of financial management principles. Includes the analysis of financial statements for planning and control, cash and capital budgeting, risk and return, capital structure, and financing the short- and long-term requirements of the firm. Students will apply basic tools and techniques used to value a firm and evaluate and fund prospective investment opportunities. This class may include students from multiple sections.

Bachelor's Program Admittance to Management Degree; Completion of BAS 301 or instructor permission

- Synthesize financial information from financial statements to evaluate organizational financial health.
- Apply present value techniques to assess business valuations and capital investment decisions.
- Evaluate working capital positions and recommend strategies to improve liquidity and efficiency.
- Analyze financial performance using ratio and trend analysis.
- Apply weighted average cost of capital (WACC) in evaluating investment opportunities.
- Develop and communicate structured financial recommendations incorporating risk and scenario analysis.
