MATH 090/091 : Essentials of Intermediate Algebra

This course develops proficiency with solving linear equations and inequalities, simplifying expressions using the rules of exponents, adding/subtracting/multiplying polynomials, graphing various types of equations and linear inequalities, solving systems of linear equations and inequalities, and finding the equations of lines. This class will include students from multiple sections.

Prerequisites

P (2.0 or higher) in Math 063/064 or equivalent.

Course Outcomes

  1. Complete a variety of algebraic tasks including adding/subtracting/multiplying polynomials, simplifying exponential expressions, and solving linear equations, inequalities, absolute value equations and inequalities, systems of linear equations, and systems of linear inequalities graphically.
  2. Graph lines.
  3. Construct equations of lines.
