EDUC 475: Student Teaching III

Classroom fieldwork placement focusing on activities related to planning and preparation of curriculum and instruction and professional responsibilities. Teacher Candidates participate full time with a mentor teacher in the K-8 classroom and apply knowledge and skills from all professional education coursework. This class may include students from multiple sections.

Prerequisites

Teacher Education BAS Program Admittance; Concurrent enrollment in EDUC 470

  1. Demonstrate professional conduct.
  2. Incorporate knowledge, skills, and dispositions learned throughout the program into the classroom environment.
  3. Align instructional strategies with situations for learning by connecting theory and practice.
  4. Implement multiple planning, teaching, assessment reflection cycles.
  5. Utilize reflective practice and incorporate feedback to improve performance and student outcomes.
  6. Plan and enact full unit of study as outlined in BAS-TE Teacher Education Performance Assessment (TEPA).
