Basic Education for Adults (BASED)

Orientation to the program focusing on goal-setting, identifying strategies to reach short and long term educational goals and develop a plan of action. Also for course outcomes that include portfolio development that integrates basic skills instruction in reading, writing, listening, speaking, and math. May include students from multiple sections.

Intermediate Algebra for Calculus, equivalent to MATH 98. High School credit course that meets state high school graduation requirements for Washington State.  Permission of instructor required. This class may include students from multiple sections.

Civics course is meant to fulfill the social studies requirement for HS21+ students that are working towards completing their High School Diploma. This course will include federal, state and local government organization and procedures. It will also include information about rights and responsibilities of citizens in Washington State and United States Constitutions. The student will cover electoral issues, including elections, ballot measures, initiatives, and referendum. This class may include students from multiple sections.

This theme-based course focuses on world languages with an independent study option for high school credit in world languages. Students can choose from multiple languages such as Spanish, French, American Sign Language, or Klallam. This class may include students from multiple sections.
