EM-BAS 311: Digital Marketing

This course will cover the foundations of digital marketing. Students will explore how to create visibility and attract customers through search engine marketing as well as social media marketing. Topics will also include but are not limited to how to build and maintain consumer and business relationships through email marketing, content marketing as well as exploring digital marketing plans. This class may include students from multiple sections.

EM-BAS 420: Sales, Negotiation, and Creative Product Development

Credits 5

This course addresses the application of basic principles of sales and negotiations through the introduction and analysis of the negotiation process. It focuses on finding customers and developing relationships, using sales strategies and tools to meet clients' needs and finding and negotiating solutions for customers. This course explores the creative product development process and organization. Topics include identifying customer needs, planning the product and concept generation through testing. This class may include students from multiple sections.

EM-BAS 450: Business Launch 1 - Entrepreneurship Capstone

Credits 5

Students will actively engage in planning and preparing a business growth plan or initiating a small local business. This class will facilitate preparing a comprehensive entrepreneurship project either on behalf of a local business or to conceptualize or initiate a new business launch, applying learning from previous courses. Students will develop and complete a capstone written project which sets a thought-out plan of action for business development. This class may include students from multiple sections.

EM-BAS 455: Business Launch 2 - Marketing Capstone

Credits 5

The Marketing Capstone will give students the opportunity to develop a comprehensive marketing plan. This class will facilitate preparing and developing an integrated marketing strategy to enhance an existing business plan or develop a new growth strategy going forward, applying their learning from previous courses. Students will develop and complete written projects, which clearly and concisely outline recommended actions and contributing factors related to a marketing development strategy. This class may include students from multiple sections.
